![]() ![]() ![]() With everything going on in life and the IRS being impossible I hadn’t got around in time to updating my new address and bank account with them in time and my third stimulus was direct deposited into my old bank twice, two separate attempts March 17th and March 26th - both getting rejected, obviously, so then my status proceeded to update as “will be sent my mail April 7th to address on file” Which is great except for the fact they also have the wrong address and my taxes this year weren’t filed until after the stimulus being initiated and are still not processed with my new address. So the IRS had/ has both my old address and no longer existing bank account on file currently. In my case (regarding the third stimmy, the 1400) Getting my first two stimulus checks was no problem but since then, this January I have both moved AND switched banks that were with the address / bank set up with IRS direct deposit they had on file. But I am having the same sort of dilemma. Your post made me hopeful! But no to hopeful because nothing is ever easy with my shit luck lol.
